Nicole was trained by Dr. Brené Brown directly in the inaugural group of Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitators. She is credentialed to facilitate the Dare to Lead™ curriculum based on Brené’s research and best-selling book. The Dare to Lead™ curriculum can be facilitated in-person or virtually, one-on-one or to a group, to anyone or any team looking to build courage, increase empathy, and strengthen their communities. Nicole is also a trained Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach (CliftonStrengths assessment) and a Certified Practitioner of the EQ-i 2.0 + EQ 360 assessment and is able to facilitate workshops and learning opportunities around both of these valuable tools.
Nicole graduated from George Mason University’s accredited leadership / organizational well-being coach training program and earned the ACC distinction from the International Coaching Federation. Additionally, Nicole is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, trained to help individuals and teams grow from and set goals around their CliftonStrengths assessments, as well as a Certified Practitioner of the EQ-i 2.0 + EQ 360 emotional intelligence assessment tools. As a coach, Nicole’s approach both supports and challenges clients to explore what’s important to them and grow professionally and personally. Nicole’s coaching relationships are rooted in mutual trust and respect to encourage clients in their self-discovery. Nicole draws on Brené Brown’s work in her coaching sessions, and she particularly enjoys supporting school and non-profit leaders in their development. Coaching with Nicole can be scheduled in-person or virtually.
Nicole holds an M.Ed. in Education Leadership and a B.S. in Elementary Education. She has more than two decades of experience teaching students, leading a school community, coaching and mentoring faculty and staff, and supporting parents and caregivers. Nicole believes in a whole child, progressive education approach that allows each child to be seen and valued for their gifts and growth, and she has worked with teachers and school leaders to integrate Brené Brown’s work into their school culture.
